Shiromi is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with extensive senior leadership experience in varied industries both in Sri Lanka and Australia.   Before her appointment as CEO of EFL, she was the CEO of MAS Legato the financial shred services arm of the MAS Group which she set up from design stages. During her 14 year tenure in the MAS Group she also held the role of Director/General Manager of MAS Linea Aqua.   Prior to this she worked at John Keells Holdings as Director/Sector Financial Controller for both Financial Services and Leisure Inbound Sectors.   She was invited to join the CIMA Sri Lanka Board of Directors in 2010 and was appointed the Chairperson of the Board in 2011. She currently serves as a member of the CIMA Membership Assessors' Group.

Dr. Sevvandi Jayakody, completed BSc (Hons.) in Zoology from University of Kelaniya, Post Graduate Diploma in Wildlife Management and Conservation from Wildlife Institute of India and the PhD in Zoology from University of Aberdeen, UK. She conducted post-doctoral research at SCIRO, Australia, James Hutton Institute, Scotland and IDRC, Canada.
