Zaineb Akbarally is a Projects and Science officer who works on biodiversity conservation and socioeconomic-ecological research projects in EFL. Currently, she is involved in the preparation of the 6th National Report for the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and is also working on understanding the socio-ecological impacts of deforestation in Sri Lanka.
She is passionate about environmental education and engaging with young people about the environment and conservation. To unwind, she loves spending time in the jungles of Sri Lanka and dabbling in wildlife photography.
