The UN World Environment Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of June. In its honour and following this year’s theme, EFL conducted a workshop on air pollution to Transworld Group- Sri Lanka. The workshop addressed what causes air pollution globally and in Sri Lanka, its legal framework in the country and what measures can be taken to mitigate air pollution.
Wonder why they wore masks? We wanted participants to understand the true nature of not being able to breathe clean air anymore, what it feels like to be exposed to a polluted environment where one has to be conscious every second about breathing polluted air.
